An Altar of Stone and Sky: Zion National Park Adventure Elopement

In Zion National Park, one of Utah’s most spectacular settings, panoramic cathedrals of stone rise toward an endless sky. Reaching this secluded setting requires a 90-minute hike, making the journey itself part of the celebration.

The bride and groom carry their wedding attire with them, changing behind a simple privacy screen before stepping into the landscape.

Their two photographers capture every detail while also serving as legal witnesses, and I—Mandy, their florist and ordained minister—have the honor of officiating their vows.

Nothing about this wedding is conventional, and that is precisely the point: an intimate, wildly beautiful beginning to a life built around adventure.
