Wedding Connection: Land, Sky, Animals, & Each Other

When a wedding is designed to connect the couple and their guests to something bigger it can’t help but feel deeply meaningful. At Fold of Liberty Farms, Lakeshore, Utah, a wedding becomes more than a celebration—it becomes an immersion into the landscape itself. Framed by the sweeping silhouettes of the Rocky Mountains, endless open sky, and lush green pasture stretching beneath every step, the setting leaves an imprint long after the vows are spoken.

As a regenerative farm, the land is cared for with intention, free from pesticides and toxins. Farming practices create healthy biodiversity in the soil, water, and air – helping to capture carbon and reduce climate change. The farm herd of Highland cows are gentle and remarkably welcoming to human connection. Even the calves move with an easy curiosity, adding a softness and warmth to the atmosphere. Guests are welcome to interact with the herd as part of the wedding – petting, hugging, and brushing the cows.

The ceremony unfolds in an adjacent pasture, where floral installations rise organically from the earth, designed not to compete with the landscape but to belong to it. Flowers by Mandy tailors to the naturescape. Blooms are thoughtfully composed to echo the palette of the surrounding land, creating a seamless dialogue between florals and field.

Through it all, Mette Blackburn Photo captures the story with an editorial eye—preserving not only the beauty of the setting, but the feeling of it: the quiet in-between moments, the wind moving through the grass, the intimacy of guests brushing the Highland cows after the ceremony, and the unmistakable magic of a celebration woven into the landscape. All part of a bigger experience that will never be forgotten.
